New Park Centre, Chichesters thriving hub of creativity and connection, is celebrating its 50th year with a special Open Day on Saturday 13th September (10am 3pm). The event will showcase the incredible variety of activities and groups that call the Centre home, and the community is warmly invited to join the celebrations.
Visitors can enjoy hands-on taster sessions, demonstrations, and exhibitions, while exploring everything from belly dancing, creative wellbeing art, and circle dancing to Pilates and
Aikido. The centre is also proud to host activities by Think 18, which offers dynamic and successful programme of activities for young adults aged 1635 with learning difficulties.
Adding to the day will be a Green Transition exhibition in the café bar, highlighting the role of sustainability and environmental awareness in the communitys future.
Bob Long, Chairman of NPCAA at New Park Centre, said:
This Open Day is particularly important as we celebrate our 50th year. New Park Centre was saved by the community and has been kept alive by the community, so it feels only right to open our doors wide and celebrate everything that makes it such a special place.
Alli McDonald-Hughes, Centre Manager, added:
The range of groups here is truly inspiring. From dance and wellbeing to martial arts and art classes. We have a range of affordable rooms to hire for start-up groups, business meetings, community events and special occasions, there really is something for everyone. Were so proud to provide a welcoming space, where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together
Groups who use the Centre are also looking forward to being part of the celebration. One regular group leader commented:
Its wonderful to be part of such a vibrant hub. New Park Centre really feels like home to us, and the Open Day is a fantastic opportunity to share that spirit with the wider community.
The Open Day will feature have-a-go activities, demonstrations, exhibitions, a café bar, and information stands, making it the perfect chance for residents to discover something new or reconnect with old favourites.
Everyone is welcome. So come along, join in, and explore the heart of Chichester at New Park Centres 50th Anniversary Open Day.
