The Italian Job: The adventures of an artist in Calabria

Richard Whincop, our local artist, stayed for two months in Calabria to paint five large street paintings, along with other artists, on the story of the Normans conquest in Southern Italy. He describes the historical background, the process of designing and painting them together with the difficulties to complete the project.
