THIS YEAR WE TURN 30!
The Chichester International Film Festival was launched in 1992 as the representation of the art of film at the Festival of Chichester, a summer programme of the arts in the city. Since then, we have championed the most collaborative of all art forms with films from all around the world.
These have included open air screenings in Priory Park, classic silent films with live musical accompaniment in the gothic St. John's Chapel, 35mm screenings at Slindon Cinema, special screenings at Chichester Cathedral, and drive-in screenings in the city centre. This year we hope to add two new venues.
Besides film screenings, we present film plus live music events, illustrated talks on various filmmakers, and of course receive special guests from the film world. Recent visitors include Timothy Spall, Ralph Fiennes and Daniel Bruhl.
Join us for a celebration of film.
