A NEW PARK CHRISTMAS:
New Park Community Centre is inviting local people to enjoy a relaxed and inclusive celebration of the festive season with A New Park Christmas on Sunday 20th December.
Rather than
a traditional carol concert, A New Park Christmas will bring
together a mix of traditional and contemporary festive music, seasonal readings
and Christmas treats for an afternoon designed to appeal to people of all ages.
Taking place
from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, the event will feature performances from the popular
Chichester Community Choir, now in its sixth year, alongside festive readings
and other seasonal touches.
Guests can
enjoy the music, relax with friends and family, sample festive cakes and
refreshments and simply soak up the atmosphere as Christmas approaches. The
event is intended to be welcoming and inclusive, offering a chance to come
together at the end of the year without the formality of a traditional concert.
Six years
of Chichester Community Choir
The
Chichester Community Choir has become a popular and well-established part of
the local community's musical life. Led by Choir Master Caroline Lawrence, the
choir continues to grow and bring people together through its shared love of
music.
Tickets are just £5.00 pp, £10 family ticket, with £3 concessionary tickets available for OAPs, children under 16, and students. Booking online at Eventbrite.co.uk is recommended.
Proceeds from the event will be shared between New Park Community Centre and local singing groups to support the community. Allison McDonald-Hughes, Manager of New Park Community Centre, said: We wanted this year's Christmas event to feel welcoming to everyone, whether Christmas music is something you love, you simply enjoy a festive afternoon out, or you're looking for somewhere to spend a little time with friends and family.
A New
Park Christmas is about enjoying good music, delicious cakes and the wonderful
community atmosphere that New Park is known for. It's a chance to pause from
the Christmas preparations, come together and enjoy the festive season.
