Abigail Norris - Ghosts in the Nursery

Julian Page Projects is delighted to present our latest exhibition: Ghosts in the Nursery, a new site-specific installation by award-winning Sussex-based artist Abigail Norris. Taking over the gallery space in its entirety, the exhibition brings together monumental uncanny animalistic sculptures with paintings and drawings to create an immersive and psychologically charged environment that probes the hidden legacies of care, neglect and inherited relational trauma.

"In every nursery there are ghosts. They are the visitors from the unremembered past of the parents. The uninvited guests at the christening. Under all favourable circumstances, the unfriendly and unbidden spirits are banished from the nursery and return to their subterranean dwelling place.
