In this session, Homage: Tracing Artistic Lineage, Pallant House Gallery curator Miriam OConnor Perks will explore the theme of homage in portraiture, focusing on how artists featured in the exhibition pay tribute to those who came before themthrough style, subject, and subtle visual reference.
Colin Wiggins, artist and former Special Projects Curator at the National Gallery, will reflect on how contemporary artists respond to historic collections, drawing on his long-standing work with artists-in-residence at the National Gallery to reveal how the past continues to inspire and shape new artistic voices.
