The BBC Concert Orchestra and Principal Conductor Bramwell Tovey bring an evening of classics and surprises, including Coleridge-Taylors Concert Suite and Principal Clarinettist Nicholas Carpenters concerto debut playing Webers great Clarinet Concerto No 2. Having enjoyed playing Ruth Gipps Symphony 2 recently, the BBC CO explore more of her work, and the show ends with two composers depictions of daybreak and morning culminating in Griegs popular Hall of the Mountain King.
