Emily Sabin (Bumblebee Conservation Trust) will show us which bumblebees live here and talk about their life cycle. Hope to meet the teddy bear bee, the Common Carder.
All abilities of spotters welcome including supervised children to our 9-year-old orchard. The Whyke Community Orchard is a Transition Chichester project.
At the last workshop, we found 4 of the commonest 8 bumblebees on a cool day. Come and be surprised at what's in our locality. The event is on grass, so stout shoes are appropriate.
