Canada's 2026 Folk Music Artist of the Year Appears at WemsFest

Lennie Gallant has just been named as solo artist of the year in the 2026 Canadian Folk Awards, and as part of his current tour he will be appearing at Westbourne in September.

WemsFest has welcomed many top Canadian acts to our locality in recent months, and with sixteen albums and numerous awards to his name Lennie, accompanied by his top quality band, continues this trend. His new album, Shelter From the Storms, has received rave reviews, and reflects on the turbulent times in which we live. This is done with a sense of community love and laughter. On a rare visit to the UK, Lennie performs at WemsFest at one of only 5 UK dates, one of which is the 2026 British Country Music Festival in Blackpool.

Thursday 3rd September Westbourne Community Hall (AKA Westbourne Club), River Street, Westbourne, West Sussex, PO10 8TG. Doors open 7.30 for an 8pm show.
