Chichester FilmMakers Winter Event

WINTER EVENT, 31st January 2026

Aimed at professional and aspiring film makers and screen talent that are wanting to develop their skills, extend their network of contacts, take part in future film productions (both sides of the lens), want to dip their toe in the water and experience how films are made, or generally want to support our local film and creative industries.

Come and join 100+ aspiring and professional screen actors and film makers from across West Sussex and the South of England. Dip your toe in to the film industry, get to know people already making films and movies, or working on their first production. We support film makers and actors with skills development, and provide opportunities for aspiring film makers and actors to get involved in local film productions, at any stage from pre-production, to film shoots (on set), post-production, film distribution and film festivals & screenings.

We are a non-profit organisation, founded in 2023 and supported by Kate Winslet (BAFTA & Oscar winning actress) and a plethora of local Chichester charities & businesses, to support the local film making community with providing opportunities to the community with film skills development and gaining experience with actual professional film projects and productions locally and across the South of England, whilst also supporting film productions in the community.

• A year after The Barn premiered at Chichester Cinema on 4th August 2024. We provide a brief review of where it has been, the awards, the journey, and how Kate Winslet supported us along the way. The making of The Barn was supported by Kate Winslet and Paramount Pictures UK, and has gained more than 60 film festival awards from around the world. The Barn can be viewed for free on our website and on YouTube (search for Chichester FilmMakers).
