Clean Slate
Organised by : The Nest at Chichester Festival Theatre
Blowjobs, bleach, and beef bourguignon. A woman's domestic life crumbles as she is pushed to breaking point by her boyfriend's relentless domestic incompetence - and you've been cast as the boyfriend.
Clean Slate refuses to let you sit comfortably in the dark; it drags you into the mess. You're not merely watching you're a witness, a confidante, an unwilling participant. One moment, you're laughing; the next, the air is thick with something unspoken. Something you recognise? How many plates can pile up before they start being thrown?
Clean Slate was a recipient of the Brigstow Ideas Exchange Fund, and developed with the support of Dr Kirsty Sedgman, cultural studies scholar and world leading expert in audience research.
