Echoes of Conflict, Sounds of Remembrance

 A Remembrance Concert by Petworth Town Band

Petworth Town Band invites the community to a special evening of music and reflection at St Mary's Church, Petworth, on Saturday 24 October 2026.

Titled "Echoes of Conflict, Sounds of Remembrance", this moving concert commemorates the sacrifices made during times of conflict, past and present, while celebrating the enduring spirit of remembrance through music. Featuring a carefully selected programme of stirring melodies, military favourites, reflective works, and an uplifting band repertoire, the performance will honour those who served and those who continue to carry their memory.  The evening will also feature local branches of the Royal British Legion, members of the Scouting organisation, Veterans of all conflicts and the Petworth Town Crier.

Set within the historic surroundings of St Mary's Church, the concert offers an opportunity for audiences to gather in remembrance, reflection, and gratitude as the nation approaches the annual Remembrance period.

With the theme "We Remember. We Honour. We Play On.", the evening promises an emotional and inspiring musical journey, paying tribute to past generations while highlighting the important role of community and remembrance today.
