Gathered lampshades are everywhere, so come and learn how to make one yourself. Join us for a one-day workshop where you will learn how to make a gathered lampshade.
What you'll learn:
- Attaching and hand sewing gathered fabric onto a lampshade frame
- Hand sewing a lining into place
- Finishing the lampshade with a handmade bias trim for both the top and base
In addition, there will be demonstrations on:
- How to bind a lampshade frame
- Two methods of gathering fabric
- How to calculate the materials needed
- Making your own handmade trims
