Performed for the 600th anniversary of Agincourt, Alex Hassell returns as the title character for this production of ‘Henry V’, having played him previously in ‘Henry IV Parts I & II’.
With the old king dead, Prince Hal, now ‘Henry V’, now sits on the throne. Ruling over a restless nation, he is forced to leave his youth behind. In an attempt to unite his people and win glory for himself, he stakes his ancestral claim to lands in France and prepares for war. His campaign culminates at the Battle of Agincourt, where the hugely outnumbered English army triumph against the French. Running time 210m approx including interval.
