On Tuesday 27 October, The Duke and Duchess of Richmond are thrilled to welcome Lord Andrew Roberts, award-winning historian and author, as he discusses his new book, Napoleon & His Marshals. This story explores the elite generals under Napoleon and the intense rivalries, ambitions and fiery relationships.
In this book, Andrew Roberts masterfully captures their personalities, capabilities, motivations and complex relationships. Roberts explores the nest of vipers Napoleon created, whose lust for glory descended into destructive competitiveness and mutual recrimination.
This evening provides the unique opportunity to hear Andrew speak against the splendour of the State Apartments, with the chance to explore Goodwood House and The Radical Duke exhibition. It's an evening to hear about this dramatic and hugely enjoyable book from one of Britain's most admired historians and to enjoy the fullest account of these remarkable historical figures.
