Our living library
11th February, 10:00 - 13:00
·
The Woolstaplers Room at The Novium, Tower Street, Chichester PO19 1QH
OUR LIVING LIBRARY is a dialogue between local people about personal experiences, expertise, culture, adventures. Local people of all ages and backgrounds are invited to share their stories with story collectors & gatherers who in turn will be their storytellers and relay their stories as part of an exciting community engagement event. The Stories are collected by story collectors (live) and can be listened to at the (live) OUR LIVING LIBRARY event at The Old Court House in The Assembly Rooms on Saturday 28th March 10-1.
We are therefore on the hunt for local people from all walks of life who have stories to tell and local people from all walks, who would like to collect and re-tell them.
If you want to hone your story writing/collecting or telling skills we are offering 3 free workshops. These are not essential but will be fun and informative!
1. For the Story collector/writers there is a free workshop/masterclass on Wednesday February 11th 10-1 in The Woolstaplers Room at The Novium Museum with professional Story collector Dr Miranda Quinney.
2. For the Fiction writers there is one on Thursday February 26th 10-1 in The Woolstaplers Room at The Novium Museum a workshop/masterclass with celebrated crime thriller writer SIMON BRETT
