19th September  ·  Pagham Visitor Centre
2190615 1024xdne

Organised by : RSPB Pagham Harbour

Join enthusiastic and friendly am of guides at the RSPB's Pagham Harbour Reserve and walkng towards Church Norton from the Pagham Visitor Centre. The months of August and September are a great time of year to see migratory species passing through. Lots of birds are on their way to Africa for the winter, and after a long busy summer working hard to build nests and raise young in different parts of the UK and Northern Europe, they often need to take a break along their migration route - so this is a great time to spot them here on our reserves! Sand Martins, Swallows and House Martins. Wheatears, Flycatchers, Whinchat, Yellow Wagtails, Yellowhammers, even a passing Osprey is not impossible. Waders such as Curlew are also likely to be arriving or passing through.

Please pre-book your ticket (member/non-member £5/8).

Note that footpaths may be wet, slippery and uneven so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the different weather possibilities we might encounter. Remember to bring binoculars or a scope if you have one. There are a limited number of binoculars available to hire at the Pagham Visitor Centre.
