Stargazing Experience
Organised by : Cowdray Estate
This two-hour stargazing experience with telescopes will take you on a fascinating guided tour of the late winter night sky, pinpointing some of the brighter stars, familiar and unfamiliar constellations, myths and legends of the stars, the Crescent moon and much more. Dr John Mason MBE's 'living planetarium' night-time tour uses the real night sky as an outdoor star theatre.
Cowdray lies within the South Downs National Park which is an International Dark Sky Reserve, the perfect place to hear more of what takes place in the skies and view the stars.
We recommend bringing binoculars (if you have them), wrapping up warmly and wearing sensible footwear. Hot drinks will be served during the experience.
Meeting point and parking: Cowdray Farm Shop Overflow Carpark.
Please note, should visibility be deemed too poor or weather conditions unsuitable on 8th March, the experience will re-schedule to ensure you see as much of the night sky as possible.
