Paul Higgs presents an evening of tunes by the legendary

trumpet players, Clifford Brown and Blue Mitchell and

their exploration of the Hard Bop and Bebop styles. Both

had a great soulful lyricism and a sense of melody.

Higgs is a trumpeter of rare talent - his sublime blowing

alternately raising the roof, lazily soothing with deft control

of his battered mute and tingling the spine. Tim Hughes, The Oxford Times

Gabriel Keen was a prizewinner in the 5th British Contemporary Piano Competition, and has recently recorded works by contemporary composer Brian Inglis.

Neil Bullock joined The Red Lemon Electric Blues Band and went on to tour with Chuck Berry, played shows as support to Robert Plant and made a record number of appearances at Ronnie Scotts.
