Weekend Workshop - Weaving

When we offered a weaving workshop last summer for children, we found that a lot of the parents got rather engrossed - so we thought, "why not let the grown ups have some weaving fun for themselves?!"

We'll look at the basics of setting up your loom, and explore different techniques for creating texture. There is certainly plenty of yarn available at the Scrapstore, so you'll have lots of choice of colours and textures to make your own unique piece of woven art.

You can choose to create a landscape or go abstract. Your finished piece can be turned into a wall hanging or a pouch, or even a bookmark. (Depending on the size of your piece and the yarn you choose to weave with, you may not finish it within the session, but we will make sure you take home everything you need to complete your creation.)

We'll provide all the materials and tools you need, and we'll give you hot drinks and biscuits to sustain you while you craft.

£15 for non-members and £12.50 for members.
