WemsFest Presents Top Scottish Band in Southbourne

WemsFest is delighted
to be bringing top Celtic music to Southbournes Old Orchard, with the welcome
return of Gnoss to the area; a band true to their traditional roots, but with a
strong contemporary flair.
These triple Scots Trad Music Awards nominees have sold out
venues at Glasgows world famous Celtic Connections festival on three
successive occasions. Add to this, acclaimed performances at the Orkney,
Cambridge, Towersey and Denmarks Tonder festivals as well as a current 19 date
nationwide tour, and you will see that they are much in demand.
Gnoss comprise Aidan Moodie (guitar and vocals), Graham
Rorie (fiddle, mandolin, electric tenor Guitar), Connor Sinclair (flute, whistles
and vocals) and Craig Baxter (bodhran and percussion). Reviews have included plaudits
such as taking you on a musical journey with their intricate textures, and
simply, delightful. As those that saw them perform as WemsFest last year will
confirm, a band not to be missed.
Gnoss appear at Southbourne Village Hall (also known as The
Old Orchard) 0n Friday, 2nd of May. Their show starts at 8.00pm; and
tickets are available from Bookends, and Harbour Records in Emsworth, and
