Chichesters vibrant Cross Market & More returns for Autumn

The Cross Market & More artisan market will return to Chichester city centre on Sunday 4 October, taking place from 10am to 4pm in North Street and East Street.

Delivered by Chichester District Council, this popular event has welcomed thousands of visitors since launching in 2021 and offers an innovative and quality market for all tastes.

This unique street market provides an opportunity for independent, local artisan creatives, designers, and makers to showcase their exciting work. Visitors can browse a variety of unique products, from textiles and jewellery to homemade prints, arts and crafts.

For the first time, the market welcomes members of Chichester Creative Art Network (CAN), headed by Louise Duggan, who will be displaying and selling some of their work. Local artists include Ben Cavanagh, Tristan Chan, Jodie Hayes and Patricia Marshall, who will be showcasing street art, ceramic sculpture, photography and art.

Councillor Harsha Desai, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Licensing, Communications and Events at Chichester District Council, says: "The Cross Market & More continues to be a fantastic addition to Chichesters vibrant market offering, raising the profile of our wonderful district and contributing to the local economy by creating a destination experience in line with the councils commitment to boosting economic growth and supporting local businesses. "The event was introduced in response to growing demand from residents for more varied markets to support the high street, and it has certainly delivered. In recent years, weve seen these events bring in visitors from across the region — including from Brighton, Surrey, and Hampshire.
