Award-winning theatre company Torchlight Mysteries returns to Stansted Park in August and September with a programme of fantastic immersive experiences; putting you at the very heart of the drama.

Become a detective during one of their murder mysteries and see if you can solve the crime; interrogate the suspects and piece together the clues as you explore Stansted House by torchlight. New for 2026 is their Family Murder Mystery, offering children aged 7+ the chance to become a detective for the evening and see if they can work out the clues to discover who the culprit is! 

Alternatively, take a seat in the beautiful Blue Drawing Room and experience a unique, site-specific theatrical show with Torchlight Mysteries incredible adaptation of Agatha Christies classic mystery And Then There Were None.

Family Murder Mystery: Step Into a World of Secrets 

Saturday 29th August 2026, 6pm-7:30pm

Join Torchlight Mysteries for a truly immersive experience at Stansted House as you step into a Downton Abbey style world, where servants bustle downstairs while the gentry dine upstairs. But remember, nobody is quite as they appear! After your host goes missing, you and your family will have just one hour to explore the house, interrogate the suspects, and piece together the clues. Can you catch the culprit? 

Murder Bubbles: The Stansted House Murder Mystery 

Saturday 29th August 2026, 8pm-9:30pm

An enigmatic host has invited you to a magnificent country estate, but when you arrive, the room is full of curious guests, and your host is nowhere to be seen. Can you uncover the truth as you discover the magnificent Stansted House by torchlight? You will need to use your best sleuthing skills as you investigate the clues and interrogate the suspects, from the glamorous guests to the secretive servants. 

King Arthur and the Holy Fail 

Friday 4th September 2026, 6pm-8pm (doors open at 5pm) 

The Three Inch Fools return to Stansted Park to present an epic tale of Arthurian adventure and medieval mayhem. In a land of daring quests and dashing knights, there lived a would-be-hero, who went by the name of Arthur. After disaster strikes and Camelot is rocked to its core, Arthur is thrust into the quest of a lifetime. Will he bravely battle through the blistering cold and scorching fire to save his beloved realm? 

And Then There Were None

Wednesday 16th September-Saturday 19th September, 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm) 

Torchlight Mysteries return to Stansted Park to present And Then There Were None. Step into the grandeur of Stansted House and relax with a drink in the stunning Main Hall before the dinner bells rings, signalling that it is time for you to take your seat as the story unfolds around you. Ten strangers with deadly secrets arrive and as the weather worsens, a true nightmare begins to unfold. 

Outdoor Cinema: The Lost Boys 

Friday 2nd October 2026, 7:30pm-9:15pm (gates open at 6pm) 

Watch The Lost Boys on a huge outdoor cinema screen under the stars and dive into the stylish sun-soaked world of Santa Carla.  With its iconic 80s soundtrack, dark humour, and cult status style, The Lost Boys is a thrilling vampire classic packed with attitude and atmosphere. 

Outdoor Cinema: Hocus Pocus

Saturday 3rd October 2026, 6:30pm-8pm (gates open at 5pm) 

Watch and laugh along with Hocus Pocus on a huge outdoor cinema screen under the stars. Follow the hilariously wicked Sanderson Sisters as they return for one magical Halloween night in this beloved spooky season classic. 

Outdoor Cinema: The Nightmare Before Christmas 

Sunday 4th October 2026, 6:30pm-8pm (gates open at 5pm) 

Follow Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, as he discovers Christmas Town and attempts to bring festive cheer to the bizarre and spooky Halloween Town. Featuring unforgettable songs and Tim Burtons iconic storytelling, this cult classic perfectly combines Halloween charm with festive magic.
