Treasure hunters and vintage enthusiasts flocked to Chichester city centre last weekend for the Antiques, Vintage & Decorative Arts Street Market.

The bustling market took over North Street and East Street and featured an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage goods, decorative arts, upcycled treasures, and work from talented artists and makers

Visitors were able to browse an impressive selection of vintage clothing, accessories and textiles, alongside mid-century furniture, traditional homeware, vintage kitchen and garden ware, retro art and photography, vinyl records, vintage jewellery, and an array of quirky one-off finds.

In addition, members of the Manhood Classics car group brought along a special display of their cars from across the decades, helping to add an extra vintage feel to the event.

Councillor Harsha Desai, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Communications, Licensing and Events at Chichester District Council, says: This event is always really popular and with the cooler, cloudier weather last weekend, I think that more people were keen to get out into the city and do something different so there was a real buzz of people across the city and the stalls seemed to be doing brisk trade which was good to see. Huge thanks go to the Manhood Classic car group whose amazing cars added some extra sparkle and va va voom to the centre of Chichester!

Market organiser Jackie Edwards of ACVR Events says: The Chichester Antiques and Vintage market exceeded our expectations on Sunday with the amount of people that decided to come. My stallholders were very happy and we had many comments from the general public saying that there was a great atmosphere, along with the added attraction of the classic cars. I'm excited about my continuing partnership with Chichester District Council in bringing my speciality market into the city.
