Get ready for the return of Chichester's popular Skate, Scoot and Bike event
Published 23:00 on 21 Aug 2026
Following the success of previous years, the popular Skate, Scoot and Bike event returns to Chichester Skatepark on Sunday 6 September, offering a free, family-friendly day of action and fun.
Organised by Chichester District Council, the Skate, Scoot & Bike event will take place from 11am to 4pm at the skatepark behind Westgate Leisure Centre in Chichester. Attendees are encouraged to walk, cycle or scoot to the event if they can.
The event will feature impressive displays from leading experts and local talent, including Chichester-based rollerblader Jamie Stenner — who runs ESP skate shop in Chichester — a BMX demonstration from the UKs Leading BMX Stunt Team, Fusion Extreme, and scooter coaching from record breaker Terry Price. Equipment will be available to borrow for people of all ages so that they can try out the different disciplines and build their confidence.
There will also be music, a Nerf Battle Zone, a pop-up spray studio, a mobile climbing wall and facepainting, alongside food and drink stalls. A variety of stands will be supporting the day, including West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, FABIS (Friends of Acquired Brain Injury Survivors), and fun family games with Chichester Rotary.
People who will be attending by car are also asked to be aware of a new parking system now in operation at the Westgate Leisure Centre which is now managed by More Leisure. On arrival, please go to the Centre Reception desk and inform the team you are attending the event.
Councillor Harsha Desai, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Communications, Licensing and Events, says: This is the third year that the Skate, Scoot and Bike event has taken place, and after last years fantastic turnout this event is set to bring even more hands-on fun in a welcoming and inclusive setting.
The skatepark is such a valuable local community facility that was funded and built by Chichester District Council. This is a brilliant opportunity to motivate people to build their skills in a fun, inclusive environment with some leading experts who will no doubt wow everyone with their abilities.
We hope that this year even more people will come out and enjoy the cooler weather, while taking the opportunity to borrow equipment, grow in confidence and soak up the community atmosphere.
