The Corporate Ladies Club
Recently I was privileged to attend a networking meeting organised by Dianne Gill and Lisa Hoare of the Corporate Ladies club. I have long been an advocate of the power of networking both professionally and socially and it is really great that this one is giving a voice to many local ladies in business. Most importantly by being a part of this network you are supporting the amazing work carried out by Sage House in Tangmere and their role in Dementia Support. Throw into the mix the lovely venues of Tinwood, Ashling Park and Goodwood, an interesting speaker and a dynamic sponsor and you have a recipe for a morning well spent.
Sage House opened its doors in 2018 and since then both staff and volunteers have helped thousands of families across the area. It is difficult to do justice to the excellent service that they offer to the community but in a nutshell they provide the latest support, information, advice and activities for not only people living with dementia, but for their families as well. They bring local services together under one roof to offer invaluable support throughout the entire dementia journey. Sage House has been so successful that it is now being considered as a model for hubs across the country.
The statistics are totally shocking - Dementia has been the leading cause of death in Britain for the last 10 years and 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will be diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime.
