Woven Through Time The Mastery Of Basketry

Part of a series of Historic Life Weekends at Weald & Downland Living Museum in Chichester, Woven Through Time looks at the global tradition of basket making. Discover the history of baskets, see basket making demonstrations using different materials such as willow basketry and hedgerow baskets and discover a display of historic baskets. Many of the skills shown at this event are in the hands of a relatively small number of people, making them even more important to demonstrate and share. There will also be opportunities to buy or commission baskets.
