Wooden Toy Making

THE COURSE

An introduction to toy making with wood. It will cover the hand tools and machinery available to toymakers, as well as design considerations and material selection. You will then produce a simple finished toy to take home.

THE TUTOR

Piers Young began making toys and decorations as a retirement project and has been selling at Craft Fairs and similar events in Kent and Sussex for the last few years. He is a member of Weald Crafts, a group of craftsmen and women based in East Sussex.

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

All tools and materials are provided but if you have tools of your own feel free to bring them.

FEE

£65 per person to include materials, tuition, tea and coffee. Please bring any other refreshment you require or you can purchase lunch in the Museum café.
